It is with immense pride and excitement that I, Divit Chauhan, as the Director General of KMUN 2024, warmly invite you to join us for the 12th edition of KMUN. This year, our prestigious Model United Nations conference will take place in the heart of our school, offering an unparalleled platform for diplomacy, global collaboration, and intellectual discourse. KMUN 2024 promises to be a captivating journey as we tackle pressing global issues. From climate change and energy crises to geopolitical tensions in Eastern Europe, as well as post-pandemic economic recovery, this conference will explore the multifaceted crises shaping our world. We are committed to fostering a space where innovative solutions and diverse perspectives flourish, allowing participants to engage with real-world challenges. Whether this is your first time attending or you are a seasoned MUNer, I assure you that KMUN 2024 will be a transformative experience filled with learning, spirited debate, and meaningful connections.

Serving as the Director General is a unique and special honor for me, not only because of its prestige but also because it marks the final chapter of my MUN journey. Concluding this experience in such a role is a privilege I deeply cherish. MUN has been a transformative part of my life, teaching me diplomacy, leadership, and empathy. I have seen how this platform shapes the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and changemakers. For me, this is more than just a platform; it is a reflection of everything I have learned and the culmination of countless hours of dedication. Welcome to Kanakia Model United Nations 2024! I'm Rushan Shah, your Charge d'affaires, and I couldn't be more excited to embark on this incredible journey with all of you. Whether this is your first MUN or your fifteenth, KMUN is a space where everyone has the chance to shine, learn, and make lasting memories.
With over 15 Model UN conferences under my belt and experience chairing six committees, I’ve seen firsthand how transformative these experiences can be. I know the mix of anticipation, nerves, and excitement you might be feeling right now—and trust me, it's all part of the adventure! My goal is to ensure that each of you feels supported, inspired, and ready to dive into the dynamic world of diplomacy.
When I'm not engrossed in international affairs, you'll probably find me on a football field, exploring new destinations, or getting lost in a Netflix series (we all need a good binge-watch now and then, right?). I believe that balance is key, and while we’ll be tackling serious global issues, we’re also here to enjoy ourselves, make new friends, and have some fun along the way.
As we kick off KMUN 2024, I encourage you to bring your full self to the table—your ideas, your creativity, your passion. Don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, to ask the tough questions, and to engage in discussions that push us all to think deeper. This is your space to grow, learn, and make your mark.
Remember, I’m here for you every step of the way. If you need advice, need any help throughout KMUN no matter what it may be! a pep talk, or just someone to bounce ideas off, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make this MUN one for the books!
